Basic Core Lessons:
You will find that most of CIE's courses are
designed around a core of lessons that cover basic theories
applicable to many areas of electronics and computer technology.
Courses 11, 14B, and
the A.A.S. Electronics Degree, for instance, all contain the same initial
93 lessons that together comprise Course 1B. This is the course
that teaches basic electronics, and goes on to increasingly
more advanced lessons.
All the lessons inside courses 2C & 3C are included with CIE's A.A.S. Computer Degree.
Intermediate & Advanced
Level Electronics Courses:
For those individuals who already possess some electronics knowledge,
CIE has designed several specific courses. Our intermediate level
courses include courses 1A, 2, 4, and 5. Course 6, "Electronics
Engineering," is an advanced level course. You can pick up where
your previous electronics training left off, or update your present
skills. Our non-laboratory courses can be the answer to upgrading
your skills to the desired level.
Associate
Degree Programs
CIE is proud to offer two accredited Associate in Applied Science
Degrees where you only pay for the time it takes you to complete the course.
These degrees represents a very high level of accomplishment and
will provide you with the necessary education to work in a variety
of sophisticated electronics and computer careers.

at 1-800-243-6446 to help you with any questions you may have.
All
Courses Build Toward An A.A.S. Degree:
From beginning level to advanced, all of CIE's
courses earn you credit toward an Associate Degree. Let's
take an example: If you complete Course 1B, "Electronics Technology
With Laboratory", you will have earned 93 lessons toward the
254 lessons required for the A.A.S. Electronics Degree. If you wish to
enroll in the A.A.S. Degree Program after completing a CIE
Career Course, you will receive full academic credit based
upon the number of lessons in the career course that you have
completed.
A Programmed Approach to Learning:
CIE has a study method that's so good, so innovative, it's patented.
It's called the AUTO-PROGRAMMED teaching method, and it did nothing
short of setting a new standard for education through self-study.
AUTO-PROGRAMMED lessons allow you to learn electronics one step
at a time, and you determine the size of the step.
Practical, Hands-On Training:
As a CIE student, you can train on your own laboratory equipment,
which assures you that you can practice whenever you like, and
repeat experiments as often as you need, to master them.
Personalized Training From A Dedicated Faculty:
CIE's dedicated staff of instructors do more
than just grade your exams; they help guide you, step-by-step,
through your studies and hands-on training. They personally
review each written lesson report. They'll encourage you when
you're doing well, and give you support when you need it.
Most importantly they'll see that every question you have
receives careful consideration by one or more members of the
staff.
You can be sure the response, whether it's a simple
explanation or an in-depth theoretical discussion, will be
prompt, courteous, and thorough.
On-line Instructor Chat Room:
CIE's Instruction staff keeps regular office hours where you can talk to them live via the on-line chat room. Simply log on and ask an Instructor a question right from your computer.
Convenient On-line Exams:
When you finish a lesson you can take your exam on-line on CIE's e-grade Web site anytime you want - day or night! Your test will be processed and your score e-mailed back to you.
Resources:
There is no formal campus or classrooms at CIE, but you will find
all the educational resources of a traditional residential education
center here. We provide the opportunity to purchase optional lab
equipment and an array of school items...we publish our own school
paper...we make membership available to an honor society and professional
associations...lesson grading is available through faxing or take
them on-line with our special e-grade site (www.study-electronics.com)...and
we honor our own top graduates from the Associate Degree Program.
Textbook Buyback Program:
Some CIE and World College lesson modules include textbooks that would qualify for our Textbook Buyback Program.
The Textbook Buyback Program would enable you to sell your textbooks back to CIE for tuition credit once you're finished with your learning module.
CIE is an Authorized Education Reseller of Microsoft Products:
Qualified education users can receive special discounts on boxed, retail versions of Microsoft software by purchasing Academic Edition Full Packaged Product (FPP).
Academic Edition FPP is the same powerful, fully-functional software as the regular retail version. The only difference is the "Academic Edition" label and the discounted price.
