What is Distance Learning?
Distance Learning or Distance Education is when the instructor and the student are in separate locations. The curriculum is specifically designed to educate students who live at a distance from a college or education provider.
Distance learning allows students to complete each lesson at their own pace with printed textbooks, online instruction, CDs, DVDs, or audio recordings. Questions about course material can be answered though qualified instructors via e-mail, chat room, telephone or mail.
